Blazer and blouse: Zara. Skirt: Rare. Boots: vintage

It goes without saying that our affinity for cosy fabrics tends to increase with the unfavourable conditions that winter brings. It becomes all too easy to neglect luxurious, light and feminine fabrics as the focus changes to practical dressing in attempts to protect against the harsh elements. The use of rich jewel tones and luxurious fabrics on the winter runways has enabled practical winter dressing to have a more precious and feminine feel whilst allowing for the incorporation of traditional winter fabrics within an outfit.

Here, I combined a classic winter fabric in the form of a tweed blazer with a feminine pleated maxi skirt and a floral blouse, and added knee-high suede boots, for easy winter elegance.
