LFW: Tata Naka SS13
Picture the scene: palm trees, parasols, deckchairs. For a couple of hours in the Portico Rooms of Somerset House, we were transported away to a 1960s sun-drenched poolside setting which served as the backdrop for Tata Naka’s SS13 collection. With a strong Mad Men feel, models with bouffant-style hair sipped cocktails whilst lounging poolside in a riot of colourful 1960s silhouettes in silk and beaded fabrics. Beautiful pastel shades ruled the collection with colourful hand painted prints also sounding their presence, whilst embellishment detail and sheer-panelled hemlines were aplenty. Accessories were equally audible with printed and embellished loafers not going unnoticed.
So take a moment and submerge yourself in these sunny images, definitely a welcome destruction from the fresh autumn temperatures that have now besieged us.
