It may have been Clare Waight Keller’s debut collection for Chloé, but there was no shortage of the signature craftsmanship that defines the Chloé that I’ve come to know and love. An aptly sunny collection for the SS12 season, Chloé’s famous creamy colour palette of ivory, nudes, white and light pinks with a peppering of teal, coral and light raspberry reds dominated this breezy and fluid collection. Pleats gave definition to flowy silk chiffon drop-waist dresses. Other House favourites including soft leather jackets, collarless crisp shirts and blouses, and exquisitely cut slouchy trousers were also in abundance. Floral prints were beautifully incorporated into the collection without being overwhelming. All in all, a beautiful, feminine and romantic collection that captures the essence of chic Parisian style.
